In the midst of moving into its new Homewood location in June 2026, the team of Alabama-rooted Bryant Bank finalized plans to host a special grand opening for the community on July 10.
Founded in Tuscaloosa in 2005 by Paul Bryant, Jr., Bryant Bank maintains legendary local traditions, so a proper housewarming in Homewood was a top priority. The invitation and hospitality remain open, with all neighbors invited to stop in and pay a visit soon.
We were there for a look inside Bryant Bank’s new Homewood digs and learned how this new location embodies the bank’s values and community spirit.

Where is the new Bryant Bank Homewood branch?

Bryant Bank expanded to Homewood in 2007 to Merchant’s Walk. While the first branch was less than a half-mile east of the new one, the difference is significant.
For starters, the new branch is freestanding at the corner of 28th and Linden Avenue, in a more visible location and with greatly improved parking for customers.

Who will you meet at Bryant Bank Homewood?

Inside the new bank location, customers will see familiar faces in the Homewood community, including AVP, Branch Manager Gina Squires and VP/Commercial Banking Jonathan Rutland.
While Rutland joined Bryant Bank in October 2025, his family has lived in Homewood for 13 years.
Squires has been with Bryant Bank since 2010 and has served the Homewood branch since 2015. She says she’s enjoyed every minute of it, noting how the bank puts people first.
“A new customer told us if we could wow him with our service, he’d move all his business here. I told him that wouldn’t be a problem; we pride ourselves on customer service, and he’ll always see the same faces.
When you call here, you never get a recording you have to work your way through. There’s always a person to answer, unless it’s after hours. That personal touch is a big part of what we do at Bryant Bank.”

How the new Bryant Bank reflects Homewood

Rutland told us the bank better suits and reflects Homewood, a community known for residents focused on raising families, strengthening roots and growing prosperity.
“Bryant Bank’s mantra of being visible in the community and easy to reach dovetails perfectly with the vibe of Homewood itself. The community is centered around three elementary schools, and over the past 10 years, I haven’t seen a lot of people moving out of Homewood. Most are remodeling and staying put because their kids are going through this incredible school system.”
– Jonathan Rutland, Bryant Bank VP Commercial Banking
What else makes Bryant Bank’s new Homewood branch feel like home?

As with all of its 18 locations throughout Alabama, Bryant Bank intentionally designed the space to encourage in-person interaction.
A few examples include:
- Much more space—3,100 square feet of it!
- A sunny entryway + interior spaces
- Classic architectural touches + thoughtful traditional decor
- Community room available to small businesses + groups
The Bryant Bank team made the move without any service disruptions. Now that they’ve fully moved into the new space, they can’t wait to welcome more guests.
