Aspen + Ash Collective, a luxury co-working salon space, recently opened at 4274 Cahaba Heights Court #225 in Vestavia Hills, and the door is open for local stylists who want to be their own boss.

What is Aspen + Ash Collective?

Aspen + Ash Collective gives independent beauty professionals a full-service salon setup without giving up their independence. Stylists get access to a shared, upscale space — plus, the community of a traditional salon — while still running their own business and building their own brand.

The concept centers on what the team calls “community without competition,” giving stylists room to grow alongside each other rather than against each other.

The space itself leans into natural light, calming textures and curated design details meant to feel elevated but effortless.

Meet the founder behind Aspen + Ash Collective

Aspen + Ash Collective is owned and founded by Krystal Millender, a stylist with 25 years in the beauty industry, including 11 years as an independent stylist and entrepreneur. According to a post on social media, Millender said the goal is to give fellow stylists a beautiful, comfortable space to work in while keeping the flexibility of being their own boss.

“In my career, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most incredible people. I have learned so much in my time as a stylist. I am so excited to share my new space with you.”

What’s next for Aspen + Ash Collective

The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated Aspen + Ash Collective’s opening, calling the space a “successful addition to Cahaba Heights.”

For now, the collective is focused on growing its roster of independent stylists and building out its presence in the community.
