Road to Burma brings authentic Burmese food to The Pizitz on Aug. 1

Road to Burma, an upcoming Burmese restaurant, plans to open its new stall inside The Pizitz Food Hall on Saturday, Aug. 1, introducing traditional flavors from Myanmar to the local food scene.
The menu highlights authentic Burmese dishes, including:
- traditional appetizers
- desserts
- drinks
- freshly made sushi
To celebrate the grand opening, Road to Burma is offering a 10% discount on all orders from Saturday, Aug. 1 through Wednesday, Aug. 5.
What is Burnese food?
Although Road to Burma hasn’t released their menu as of Wednesday, July 29, we are still excited for the addition of Burmese cuisine to Birmingham’s dining scene.
Originating from Myanmar, Burmese food reflects the culinary influences of neighboring India, China and Thailand.
Dishes balance sour, salty and savory elements, often using:
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Turmeric
- Fermented seafood pastes
Traditional menus feature:
- Meat curries
- Rice noodle dishes
- Broths
- Vegetable side dishes
