Trussville is getting a sweet new addition. Local favorite Pop Donuts announced on Friday, June 27 that it’s expanding to a new location the across from Lowe’s off Gadsden Highway. The shop is expected to open in late 2026.

Pop Donuts shared the news in a Facebook post teasing the expansion with a simple message:
“Can you guess what’s coming? Another location… Pop Donuts… Trussville… Opening late 2026. The sweetest countdown starts now!”

The expansion comes at a great time for Trussville. With Hero Donuts recently closing, local donut options are limited, leaving only nearby chains like Dunkin’ on Gadsden Highway and Krispy Kreme donuts sold inside Target.

If you’ve never visited the original Pop Donuts in Center Point, you’re in for a treat. The locally owned donut shop is known for baking fresh items every day with customers raving about its light, fluffy donuts.
Top sellers include kolaches, donut holes and apply fritters, but you’ll find plenty of classic flavors like glazed, chocolate and strawberry iced donuts.
