Soft-serve margaritas have officially hit Birmingham. The viral frozen drink, swirled like soft serve ice cream, puts a creamier twist on the classic margarita while still keeping that tangy citrus flavor.

Here’s where to find the viral soft-serve margarita around the Magic City.

Hoover: Phil Sandoval’s

About 20 minutes south of downtown Birmingham in the Village at Brock’s Gap, Phil Sandoval’s recently introduced their own spin on the internet-favorite. If you love a classic frozen margarita but want something a little creamier, this one is worth seeking out.

Known for rotating flavors and a fun atmosphere in the town’s entertainment district, Corbeau’s version leans sweet, creamy and photo-worthy.

Tip: Order your drink in-house or to go! Did you know that as of 2023, Trussville is an open-container area? If you’re visiting the entertainment district (where Corbeau is located) you are permitted to roam with your alcoholic beverages.

Whether you’re a margarita lover or just looking for your next summer happy hour spot, these frozen cocktails are worth adding to your Birmingham bucket list. But because they’re pretty new and require special equipment, we recommend being patient and having a back-up order in mind.

  • Flavors rotate often, so check social media before visiting.
  • Many spots may sell out of popular flavors on busy weekends.
  • Expect a thicker texture than a traditional frozen margarita.
