Vital services such as police, fire and 911 will still operate.
Most cities, including but not limited to Birmingham, Hoover and Mountain Brook, will move back trash pickup by one day that week due to the holiday.

- 18th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Alabama National Cemetery
- When: 9AM
- Where: Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Highway 119, Montevallo)
- What: A ceremony to remember and honor the people who gave their lives in U.S. military service. The ceremony will include a flyover, patriotic music, a rifle salute + more.
