O’ Taste & See expands Crestwood restaurant capacity, adding new hours in June
Reading time: 2 minutes

O’ Taste and See, a soul food restaurant next to Crestwood Pickers, officially debuted a massive expanded space Sunday, May 10, just in time for a bustling Mother’s Day crowd.
Previously limited to a tight 24 seats, the restaurant knocked down a wall to create access to the adjoining 2,630-square-foot space that now comfortably accommodates more than 100 guests.
For owner Timothy Powell, the decision to grow was about taking care of the customers who have kept his doors open for nearly four years.
“We were definitely trying to meet demand, especially on Sundays. That’s our busiest day. We really didn’t want people to have to travel just to sit down. They travel from far and near, and we were in such a tight, compact space.”

The opportunity to expand came at the perfect time. The restaurant has been a staple in its location for three and a half years, hitting its official four-year anniversary this coming December.
Making way for more improvements

The physical space isn’t the only thing growing. To celebrate the expansion and keep up with high demand, the restaurant is rolling out extended hours and weekend service starting in June:
- Fridays: Hours extended from 11AM–6PM to 11AM–8PM
- Saturdays: Open the first and third Saturday of every month from 3–8PM
In the meantime, Powell and his staff are going to keep doing what they’ve been doing: providing a space for the community to gather over delicious food.
“I’m so grateful to God for the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity. I’ve been grateful since the day I opened in December 2022, and I’m still grateful for people taking their time to come and support. Without God and the community, there’s nothing.”
