I-59 northbound Trussville exit ramp closure coming May 18
Reading time: 1 minute

Traveling north on I-59 toward Trussville?
Beginning Monday, May 18, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will shutdown both northbound ramps at Clay Chalkville Mountain Road (Exit 141).
The exit will be shuttered for approximately 40 days. During this time, motorists cannot exit or enter Northbound I-59 at Chalkville Mountain Road.
The contractor, Wiregrass Construction Company, will receive incentives if they complete the job ahead of the 40-day timeline.
Last fall, the company met both incentivized deadlines to open the southbound exit ramps and the widened section of I-59 to traffic, according to ALDOT.
