Fear not, Thai food lovers: Blue Pacific is back!

The beloved local favorite located in Hoover Food Mart at 3219 Lorna Road has been closed since Wednesday, March 18 due to “unexpected personal matters,” the owners said on Facebook.

As of Wednesday, April 15, Blue Pacific is once again open for business with its regular hours.

Blue Pacific is open for both lunch and dinner with a break between the meals Tuesday through Saturday, 11AM to 2:30PM and 5:30PM to 8:30PM. It is closed Sunday and Monday.

News of Blue Pacific’s temporary closure was met with community support for the owners but with a bit of sadness that one of Hoover’s favorite restaurants was closed. Similarly, the reopening announcement was met with excitement from locals.

Blue Pacific appears over and over again on local tourist guides, crowdsourced favorites and expert recommendations. You will also spot them on Bham Now’s very own best restaurants list.

The authentic Thai food restaurant is owned and operated by the Aroonsakulwongse family and serves traditional recipes such as coconut soup, basil fried rice and top-notch dumplings.
