Beignets & Brew appears to be coming to Homewood

The popular coffeehouse Beignets & Brew appears to be moving into the former Bitty & Beau’s location in Homewood.
A big storefront sign materialized at the 1625 Oxmoor Rd. coffeehouse across from Homewood’s Central Park earlier this month.
This would be the first Beignets & Brews location in the Birmingham Metro area and sixth statewide.
Homewood Mayor Jennifer Andress told Bham Now, she is thrilled to have a Beignets & Brew location in the town.
“It is a fabulous space (former Bitty & Beau’s) and Beignets & Brew is my “go-to” place when I visit Auburn. I’m glad to have them in Homewood.”
If you haven’t been to a Beignets & Brew, you are in for a treat. The Florida-based cafe chain specializes in New Orleans-styled made to order beignets, dipping sauces, coffees and teas.
Some of the menu favorites include:
- Traditional beignets with buttercream, blueberry and chocolate dipping sauce options
- Beignets topped with ice cream
- Honey butter chicken croissant
- Specialty coffees, including a nutella latte, salted caramel mocha and more
Despite the appearance of the storefront sign, as of Friday, April 10th, the city of Homewood has not approved a business permit for the new coffeehouse.
