In addition to the sold-out Monster Jam event this weekend the stadium has also emerged as a major outdoor concert destination, hosting full capacity performances by Garth Brooks in 2022 and Chris Brown in 2025, with Post Malone and Jelly Roll set to take the stage on May 26, 2026.

“In 2025 alone, Protective Stadium welcomed more than 226,000 fans, a 25% increase over the previous year, and what stands out is how the space is being used even beyond the big events. From neighborhood meetings to corporate gatherings in the Stadium Club, this has become a place that serves Birmingham in a lot of different ways throughout the year.”

Tad Snider, CEO of the BJCC

Protective is also active throughout the year serving as the home field for several sports teams and events, including:

  • UAB Blazers football
  • Birmingham Legion FC
  • Birmingham Stallions
  • Birmingham Bowl
  • Monster Jam and the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship
