Home prices continue to rise in the Birmingham area as the spring flowers start to bloom.

A standout from last week’s high-end home sales is 419 Club Place, a 4,224-square-foot home built in 2005 just outside Mountain Brook Village. Selling for $3.38 million at a whopping 64% increase from listing price, the house features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half bath.

The Club Place home welcomes visitors with an grand foyer featuring soaring ceilings and a private elevator for effortless access between levels. The heart of the home is the expansive dining and living area, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of a manicured, tranquil backyard.

The property hit the market on a Tuesday, went under contract the following day and closed Thursday, according to Ray & Poynor, which listed the home. Within that time, it had 40 showings and received eight offers.

Another strong week for Birmingham-area real estate

Between Friday, March 13 and Thursday, March 19, 120 homes sold in Jefferson County.

The average sale price was $443,435, and the median was $351,450. Homes sold on average 0.72% less than the asking price.
