A new açaí bowl concept with a Latin influence is now open in Five Points South! Located in Five Points Lane, Bandida Bowls & Sips offers Latin-inspired yogurts, dirty sodas and specialty açaí bowls.

We met with owner Stephany Chavez to learn more about the new concept.

If you’re on the hunt for a fresh, refreshing snack to pair with your morning pick-me-up from Bandido Coffee, you don’t have to walk far to visit Bandida Bowls & Sips. Located in the Five Points Lane alley at 1024 20th St S #103, Bandida Bowls & Sips is a new concept owned by Stephany Chavez, sister of Bandido Coffee owner Raul Chavez.

Similar to Bandido Coffee’s unique Latin spin on coffee, Bandida Bowls & Sips carries a mix of Latin-inspired treats, including:

Açaí bowls like the fan-favorite Mangonada, an açaí base with Mango blend, lime juice, Mango chunks, tajin and chamoy.
Yogurt bowls like the Chocobana, with Greek yogurt, banana slices, cacao nibs, granola and peanut butter.
Dirty sodas like the Bandida, a drink with Strawberry Fanta, crushed berries, vanilla, raspberry, creamer and cotton candy cold foam.

“We’ve already had a lot of people ask for the Mangonada, but one of my personal favorites is our mini pancakes. We have one that’s a mini churro pancake, complete with cinnamon sugar, strawberries and whipped cream!”
