The recent sale of a Mountain Brook home in Sherwood Forest is among several homes that sold last week for more than $1 million.
Originally listed for $1,849,000, the 2.3-acre property at 3020 Woodleigh Road closed at a staggering $2,410,000 — a $561,000 premium over asking — after just two days on the market.
The 4,655-square-foot home, featuring a gourmet kitchen and a detached guest suite, nearly doubled its value since its last sale in 2019 at $1.125 million. This rapid transaction highlights a notable trend in the Mountain Brook Elementary zone of rare, multi-acre lots with move-in-ready luxury.
2026 home sales finally seeing an increase in price
The homes sold in Jefferson County last week show an overall increase in residential real estate sales as winter comes to a close.
Between Friday, March 6 and Thursday, March 12, there were 139 homes sold in Jefferson County.
The average sale price was $403,493, and the median was $284,28. Homes sold on average 0.82% less than the asking price.
