Samford women’s basketball
The Bulldogs will have a chance at their first ever NCAA Tournament victory. The two programs have never faced each other on the court.
While Samford gets to help open the women’s tournament, a win would put them on an even bigger national stage.
The winner of the First Four matchup will stick around Columbia to take on the No. 1 seed South Carolina Gamecocks. Samford has only played USC once, falling 64-56 in 2006.
