  • Wenonah boys
  • Fairfield boys

Keep reading to learn more about all three teams and see the full list of state champions from the 2025-26 season.

Hoover girls basketball

Hoover has won its sixth consecutive state championship in girls basketball, the second longest streak in AHSAA history.

Khloe Ford was named the championship game MVP, finishing with a game-high 29 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes of play. The Bucs outscored Bob Jones by 30 points when Ford was on the floor and they finished off a 61-43 victory in the 7A title game.

Hoover actually lost its first game of the season but finished on a 35-game winning streak to earn the title and finish with a 35-1 overall record.

The girls program now has 12 total state titles which is the second most in AHSAA history, just behind Lauderdale County.

Wenonah boys basketball

It was a record-setting day for the Dragons who became the first boys team to ever hit the century mark in a state championship game.

Wenonah took down Sylacauga, 101-40, the largest margin of victory in an AHSAA basketball state championship game. It’s the program’s seventh state title and first since 2019.

Brendon Davis won MVP, scoring 42 points which included six 3-pointers. Santez Pendleton filled the stat sheet with 25 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists + a pair of steals.

As a team, the Dragons shot 63% from the floor.

Fairfield boys basketball

The Tigers never trailed in the 4A state championship game and finished the game on an 18-4 run to pull off their third title in the last six seasons.

Milton Jones led the way with 20 points + 11 rebounds to be named MVP. Jalen Kidd added 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.
