New $12M Marriott hotel opens in Pell City

Pell City celebrated a new hotel opening Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The TownePlace Suites is the first property owned by Marriott located in St. Clair County on Vaughan Lane.

Shivaay Hospitality, owned by Darshen Patel and Vishal Patel, is operating the new $12 million hotel.

TownePlace Suites is primarily an extended-stay room hotel, and owners said that manufacturing executives visiting Pell City’s industrial sector have already displayed high demand. The facility has 89 rooms.

The rooms in these hotels are designed for long-term comfort and include amenities such as:

  • Full kitchens: Refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, silverware, pots, pans, serving dishes + glasses
  • Internet and phones: A phone with voicemail services + complimentary wifi
  • Accessible rooms: Accessible tubs, roll-in showers + hearing accessible rooms available
  • Parking: Complimentary EV charging + on-site parking
  • Services: Pets allowed (with fee), fitness center, full business center + breakfast buffet
