Birmingham firefighters responded Thursday night to a blaze at the former The Quest Club, the site of the LGBTQ+ nightclub that was closed in 2024 after the city council revoked the club’s business license.

Located at 416 24th St S, according to multiple reports the Fire Department was dispatched at 9:44PM and had it under control within an hour.

Below is a Facebook video by WVTM 13 of the blaze.

The inside of former The Quest Club, which had operated at the location for 42 years, was totally charred and gutted in the inside when Bham Now visited the site Wednesday morning. Most of the roof had also fallen in.

Currently, no news has been released about how the fire was started.
