New ALDI coming to Leeds, replaces popular Mexican restaurant

A new ALDI grocery store is scheduled to open in Leeds by the end of 2026.

According to the City of Leeds Facebook page, a state-of-the-art ALDI is replacing Mangos Cantina & Grill, a popular Mexican eatery that closed this week.

The location for the new ALDI is 1770 Ashville Road, NE.  

15 ALDI stores in Birmingham metro

The international chain is known for its low prices and no-frills shopping. In celebration of its 50th year in the U.S., the fast-growing grocery store has plans to open 180 stores in 31 states in 2026.

Presently, there are 15 ALDI locations in the Birmingham metro area and 58 stores throughout Alabama.
