Of the 15 new building permits issued across the state this past week for construction projects exceeding $1 million, four are for projects in the Birmingham metro.

One of these permits is for a $5.2 million project related to Emeree Homes, a new community in the Hoover area.

Emerlee Homes development issued $5.2 million permit

A $5.2 million building permit was issued to Flanagan Contracting for Emerlee Homes, located off Hwy 150. The development, by Signature Homes, will eventually include 2,300 homes located on more than 800 acres.

This permit issued last week is to complete water lines, storm and sewer and grading on this project.
