Got a wedding, formal, gala or sorority event on your calendar? A new dress rental boutique is about to make getting ready a whole lot easier (and more affordable) in Homewood.
Own the Red Carpet is opening soon at 2902 Linden Ave, bringing formal and semi-formal dress rentals—plus jewelry and handbags—to the neighborhood.

How it works
Own the Red Carpet is designed as an exclusive, in-store shopping experience, with curated collections and personalized service available only at its Homewood location.
Renting your look is simple. Dresses are priced by color tag:
- White—$49
- Orange—$69
- Green—$89
- Purple—$119
- Blue—$149
You’ll have 14 days to return your dress, and yes—alterations are allowed. Even better? Dry cleaning is included, so you can drop it off stress-free after your event.
Need accessories? They’ve got you covered:
- Jewelry: $15
- Handbags: $20–$30
The story behind Own the Red Carpet
The idea was inspired by the owner’s two college-aged daughters, who were constantly attending formals, weddings and sorority events. After seeing the cost of one-time-wear dresses, she wanted to create a smarter option—one that still feels luxurious and fun.
Each gown is hand-selected for its timeless style and designer-inspired feel, giving customers the excitement of finding “the one” without the price tag of a single wear. The goal? Help every woman feel confident, elegant and effortlessly stylish—while making a more sustainable choice.
