In January 2026, Saks Global—the parent company of both Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus—filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to restructure its debt. As part of its “optimization” pivot, the company is closing one Neiman Marcus and eight Saks Fifth Avenue stores across the country, including:

  • Saks Fifth Avenue
    • The Summit (Birmingham, AL)
    • Polaris Fashion Place (Columbus, OH)
    • American Dream (East Rutherford, N.J.)
    • Shops at Canal Place (New Orleans, LA)
    • Bala Plaza (Philadelphia, PA)
    • Biltmore Fashion Park (Phoenix, AZ)
    • Stony Point Fashion Park (Richmond, VA)
    • Utica Square (Tulsa, OK)
  • Neiman Marcus
    • Copley Place (Boston, MA)

According to a press release, the selected stores will remain open until the end of April.
