Mexican frozen dessert + snack spot opens on Valley Avenue

A delicious dessert shop with a wide variety of offerings has settled in to the Valley Avenue Plaza after opening in late December 2025.

Pinguinitos, located at 405 Valley Avenue, serves up traditional Mexican desserts, including:

• Ice cream
• Paletas (popsicles)
• Aguas frescas
• Sorbet
• Dubai chocolate
• Fresh-squeezed juices

The new spot has a strong focus on traditional, Mexican-style desserts. Another huge plus: the delicious ice cream is handmade!

The more savory snacks are worth trying out, too. For example, the Maruchan preparada is instant ramen loaded with toppings, similar to nachos. Pinguinitos’ other snacks are primarily antojitos (Mexican street foods), such as:

• Esquites + elotes
• Hot dogs
• Dorilocos + Tostilocos
• Nachos

Pinguinitos also offers service in several languages other than English, including Spanish, Jindi and Gujarati, according to its Facebook profile.
