List of Birmingham school delays for January 27

With temps plunging into the teens on the evening of Monday, Jan. 26 several Birmingham-Metro area schools have decided to delay opening on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Below is the latest list of confirmed closings and delays.

- Bessemer City Schools — 2 hour delay
- Birmingham City Schools — 2 hour delay
- Fairfield City Schools — 2 hour delay
- Jefferson County Schools — 2 hour delay
- Midfield City Schools — 2 hour delay
- Walker County Schools — 2 hour delay
Cold temps early Tuesday morning
Temps are expected to dip into the teens on Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. National Weather Service Birmingham Office.
