Ferus Artisan Ales brings snow days to Trussville
Reading time: 2 minutes

Monday, January 26 brought severe icy weather across the Greater Birmingham Area, closing schools, delaying work and leaving us dreaming of a real snow day.
While we were lucky to see a few barely-visible flurries, Ferus Artisan Ales in the Trussville Entertainment District (TED) made it happen—with real snow blown across its outdoor space.
Read on to see how you can join the snowy fun this week.
Behind the snow

To turn the TED into a winter wonderland, Ferus used a snow blower to create real snow—perfect for building snow castles, crafting snowmen or just stomping around like you’re at the North Pole.
Behind the scenes, a couple of dedicated Ferus employees even volunteered to run the snow machine overnight, ensuring plenty of snow for the city to enjoy an epic play day.
“It’s a lot of work, but thanks to their efforts, everyone gets to enjoy a true snow day without leaving Trussville!”
Raquel Duplin, Events + Marketing, Ferus Artisan Ales
How to join the fun

While school and work may be back on schedule on Tuesday, January 27, Ferus plans to continue the snow-day spirit if temps continue to remain below freezing.
If you want to join the fun, head to the Trussville Entertainment District. Be sure to bring buckets, shovels or any other supplies needed to build snow castles or craft a snowman friend.
When you’re tired of the cold, you can head inside Ferus to warm up with hot food, local drinks and cozy winter vibes.
