It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town. 

From a new meat-and-three near the airport to an outdoor retailer coming soon to The Summit, here are seven businesses that should be on your radar. Plus, two businesses that are saying farewell.

1. Birmingham Wellness Massage | Homewood

Last week, the Homewood Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new massage spa!

Known for its personalized therapeutic approach to wellness, Birmingham Wellness Massage has experienced therapists and offers many services, including Swedish, deep tissue and neuromuscular massage.

2. 7 Brew | Lakeshore

7 Brews 126 7 new openings + 2 closures in the Birmingham area

7 Brew, the fast-growing drive-thru beverage concept, opened its 8th Birmingham-metro location on Lakeshore Parkway.

Founded in Arkansas in 2017, 7 Brew Coffee has grown to more than 330 locations in 31 states and counting. The drive-thru coffee brand offers a variety of menu items, boasting more than 20,000 unique options.

3. American Ranch House | Messer Airport Highway

American Ranch House, the meat-and-three based in Tarrant City, opened its second location near the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

The family-style restaurant serves classic southern foods like wings, seafood plates, fried chicken and more.

4. Vuori | The Summit

A popular athleisure brand is making its way to The Summit. 

Vuori, known for its performance-meets-lifestyle apparel, is set to open in the former Frutta Bowls space in spring 2026.

5. De Nada | Parkside

One of Birmingham’s most popular entertainment districts is about to get a dose of Tex-Mex flavor. De Nada, a new Mexican cantina founded by an experienced local restaurateur, is set to open its doors this spring.

Founded by the Martinez family, who opened the popular Hacienda Mexican Grill restaurant in Indian Springs Village in 2004, De Nada is a new concept coming to Urban Supply in Parkside.

According to founder Armando Martinez, De Nada will deliver “elevated Tex Mex flavors, exceptional service, and a vibrant community-centered dining experience.”

6. Genghis Bowl | Trussville

A new spot for customizable Mongolian grill bowls and fresh sushi is opening soon in Trussville: Mongolian Grill & Sushi. 

Located on Trussville Crossings Parkway next to the Regal movie theater, this fast-casual spot will serve sizzling Mongolian grill bowls alongside fresh sushi rolls—perfect for quick lunches, casual dinners and everything in between. 

7. Goodwill | Crestwood

Big news for shoppers and donors in Birmingham—a brand-new Goodwill location is coming soon to Crestwood Boulevard! Located in the Village East Shopping Center across the street from the Amazon Fulfillment Center, the new Goodwill is expected to open in mid-to-late March 2026.

The organization plans to host a grand opening celebration in the near future, and will be sharing more information—including details on future hiring events—on Alabama Goodwill Industries’ social media.

8. Sol Y Luna | Mountain Brook

Sol y Luna Tapas & Tequila, the beloved local Mexican restaurant founded in Birmingham in 1997, is closing at the end of the month. According to a post on social media, the iconic restaurant’s last night will be Saturday, January 31st.

Founded by Guillermo Castro and Daniel Rubio in 1997 in Birmingham’s Lakeview district, Sol y Luna Tapas & Tequila is known for its elevated Mexican cuisine, utilizing unique ingredients sourced from both local Mexican providers and from family connections in Mexico and California.

Family-style tapas like Sol y Luna Tapas & Tequila’s chicken chillaquilles, fried duck empanadas and crabmeat enchiladas were fan-favorites.

9. Hardee’s | Alabaster

The Hardee’s restaurant across from the new Alabaster library and recreation center that is under construction has closed.

Located at 9940 Highway 119 in Alabaster, the fast food chain known for its made-from-scratch biscuits and big burgers lasted nearly eight years.
