New Goodwill coming to Crestwood Boulevard this spring

Big news for shoppers and donors in Birmingham—a brand-new Goodwill location is coming soon to Crestwood Boulevard! Located in the Village East Shopping Center across the street from the Amazon Fulfillment Center, the new Goodwill is expected to open in mid- to late March 2026.

Alabama Goodwill Industries confirmed today plans for a new Goodwill location, set to open in mid- to late March 2026. Dubbed Goodwill Irondale, the new store and donation center will be located in the former Roses Express space at 7517 Crestwood Blvd. The organization plans to host a grand opening celebration in the near future, and will be sharing more information—including details on future hiring events—on Alabama Goodwill Industries’ social media.
While many people know Goodwill for its thrift stores, the organization’s impact extends far beyond bargain racks and donation bins. Revenue from Goodwill stores directly supports job training, employment placement, and career development programs throughout Central Alabama.
Goodwill currently operates several stores, donation centers and career centers in the Birmingham area, including:
- Goodwill Store, Donation Center, Career Center and Outlet Store — 2350 Green Springs Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35205
- Goodwill Donation Center — 3300 Clairmont Ave, Birmingham, AL 35205
- Goodwill Donation Center — 5113 Oporto Madrid Blvd, Irondale, AL 35210
- Goodwill Store & Donation Center — 5287 US-280 #233, Birmingham, AL 35242
- Goodwill Donation Center — 3177 Green Valley Rd, Vestavia Hills, Cahaba Heights, AL 35243
- Goodwill Store & Donation Center — 2310 Center Point Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35215
