If you’re anything like me, you’re dreaming of spring evenings dining on the patios of some of Birmingham’s incredible restaurants. In the meantime, you can warm up while you dine at some of the best restaurants in town on their cozy, heated patios.

Keep reading for 13 of our favorites.

1. Otey’s Tavern in Crestline

Head on over to Otey’s to enjoy cheese fries and a transfusion on the covered patio next to a heater!

2. The Filling Station

This spot is a true Crestwood classic and the heated, covered patio is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a slice of pizza.

3. El ZunZún

Warm up, relax and enjoy some of the best Mexican dishes and margaritas on El ZunZun’s heated patio. Psst! It’s dog-friendly, too.

4. Back Forty Beer Company

A delicious brew and a warm fire can’t be beat. Back Forty is a popular spot to grab a seat by a fire pit and enjoy a beer with friends.

5. Bottega

For an elevated outdoor dining experience, Bottega is an amazing choice. With large heated tents to keep you warm, the dreamy lights and award-winning cuisine will make you feel like you’re in Italy without leaving The Magic City.

6. Porch

Porch in Mountain Brook is one of my all-time favorite lunch spots. The heaters keep you warm and comfortable and the service and eats are the best. My rec: the fried chicken sandwich.

7. Rojo

Rojo does winter outdoor dining right. The heated patio is a great choice to stick with the Rojo atmosphere you know and love.

8. El Barrio

Eating outside at El Barrio is one of the reasons I love it so much, so thank goodness for their heaters and tents that allow me to enjoy their delicious eats just the way I like.

9. Automatic Seafood & Oysters

Automatic Seafood & Oysters has a covered patio with heaters, so you can satisfy your fine dining craving while staying all warm and cozy.

10. Little Donkey

Hit the heated patio at Little Donkey’s Homewood location for lunch or dinner and you will not be disappointed. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the fish tacos are what keep me coming back.

11. Blueprint on 3rd

The back patio at Blueprint on 3rd is full of large heaters to keep you warm as you enjoy a fabulous meal. I had the scallops here last week and am already counting down the days until I return.

12. The Collins Bar

If their classic old-fashioned doesn’t warm you up, their heated patio on 2nd Avenue is sure to do the trick.

13. Sol Y Luna

One of Mountain Brook’s best spots for tapas and tequila, the heated patio at Sol Y Luna is so dreamy you will never want to leave.
