Moore Oil Company plans to convert more than 20 of their Birmingham Chevron Food Marts into ExtraMile-branded convenience stores, according to CSP Daily News.

“ExtraMile is excited to expand our brand in Alabama and even more so with a trusted franchisee like Moore Oil that has been delivering for customers for more than 100 years.

“We look forward to continuing to provide an enhanced store environment, improved product offerings and high-quality service.”

Brad Wolford, ExtraMile’s general manager of sales, from CSP Daily News

ExtraMile, which is based in California, will begin converting the Moore Oil’s Chevron stores in early 2026. They expect the rebranding to finish in 2027.

Currently there is only one ExtraMile store in the Birmingham area. The eighth-largest convenience store in the nation, the company announced in 2021 that it is their goal to operate more than 2,000 locations by 2029.
