Planet Fitness to open on Pelham Parkway

According to the Birmingham Business Journal, the national gym brand has filed permits to open its next fitness center in the former Big Lots location at 3550 Pelham Parkway.

Plans were submitted for approval on December 1 for the 29,607-square-foot space with a permit application that includes plans for:

$1.5M in renovations + repairs
Upgrades to architecture and plumbing + electrical systems
