Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, the popular frozen dessert spot that serves soft serve ice cream and 40 different kinds of Italian Ice, is closing its Hwy 280 location.

The store is closing on January 21st, according to a Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Facebook post.

Located at 16383 Hwy. 280 in Chelsea, the shop lasted 2 ½ years, opening in June 2023.

Its departure leaves the Birmingham Metro area with no Jeremiah Italian Ice franchises. There are three remaining locations left in Madison, Dothan and Fairhope, Alabama.
