21 Birmingham nonprofits awarded $1.5M+ in grants from Navigate Affordable Housing

Navigate Affordable Housing Partners, a locally-headquartered nonprofit, has awarded more than $2.9 million to Alabama nonprofits as part of an initiative to serve social services programs.
Several nonprofits located in the city of Birmingham were given grant funds, for a total of about $1.5 million:
- Collat Jewish Family Services — $100,000
- Community Care Development Network — $100,000
- ELI Thrive — $100,000
- One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center — $100,000
- One Roof — $100,000
- Woodlawn United — $100,000
- UAB Live HealthSmart Alabama — $100,000
- Magic City Harvest — $85,334
- Hearts In Hands, Inc. — $82,000
- Daniel Payne College Legacy Village Foundation — $75,000
- Travelers Aid of Greater Birmingham — $75,000
- Titusville Development Corporation — $70,000
- Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank — $50,000
- Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center — $50,000
- Help 2 Others — $50,000
- Hispanic and Immigrant Center of Alabama — $50,000
- Renew Birmingham — $50,000
- Serving You Ministries — $50,000
- Changed Lives — $47,000
- Women Under Construction Network — $37,900
- Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School — $36,017
The chosen nonprofits represent a wide range of charitable categories, from maternal health and infant care to water quality and food accessibility.

The total amount of funding provided to nonprofits in Alabama is $2.9 million — the most out of the four states in which Navigate operates. About $5 million was awarded in total among Alabama, Mississippi, Connecticut and Virginia.

Four nonprofits — Rainbow Omega, Woodlawn United, Serving You Ministries and Magic City Harvest — accepted their grants in-person in the Navigate office on Thursday, Dec. 18.
