6 new + coming soon businesses across Birmingham

It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.
From new stuff at The Summit to a Crestwood favorite coming to Gardendale, here are six businesses that should be on your radar.

1. Sugaring NYC | Inverness
Recently, Sugaring NYC moved its studio from Brock’s Gap to a new home in Inverness on Valleydale Road. It’s located on the same strip as Ginza Sushi and Korean BBQ.
The boutique waxing studio offers all-natural hair removal using sugar and lemon.
2. Bluff Park Vintage | Bluff Park
Bluff Park Vintage has officially outgrown its britches and moved to a larger storefront.
Nestled in cozy Bluff Park, it offers a curated mix of clothing from the 70s, 80s and 90s from high quality denim to outerwear and more. If you’re willing to sort through their vast inventory, you’re bound to find a unique piece to add to your closet.

3. Playdate | Roebuck
A new space for kids in Birmingham is about to officially open, with offerings that include obstacle courses, ball pits, a carousel and more. The new play center, Playdate, is located in Roebuck and designed for parties that include children 12 and under.
Playdate’s goal is to keep the space clean, engage kids and allow parents to feel safe and comfortable while their kids play.

4. The Filling Station | Gardendale
A local Crestwood favorite is making its way across town—all the way to Gardendale. The Filling Station, which opened in 2015, recently announced it would open a second location in the growing suburb.
Their goal is to have the restaurant open within the next few months, but no official opening date has been announced.

5. 7 Brew | Highway 280
Construction has officially begun at the site of the new 7 Brew just off U.S. Highway 280. It will be located near the former Lloyd’s site behind the upcoming Raising Canes.
It’ll be the 8th 7 Brew in the Birmingham area.

6. The Escape Game | The Summit
A brand-new entertainment experience is making its way to Birmingham’s favorite outdoor shopping mall: The Escape Game will soon open a location at The Summit.
The Escape Game, a Nashville-headquartered escape room company, operates more than 46 locations in 24 states, each offering immersive, story-driven adventures where groups race the clock to solve puzzles and complete missions.
