1. Head to the roller rink

The City Walk Roller Rink, located in the Red Zone, keeps the wheels turning year-round with themed events, music, food trucks and seasonal fun.

This month, they’re hosting Rocking Around the Roller Rink on back-to-back Saturdays:

  • Santa & Skating Night Dec. 13, 4–6PM
Santa will be skating through for festive photo ops, plus seasonal music, a skate-rental special + a featured food truck. It’s a cheerful, family-friendly way to spend the afternoon.
  • Ugly Christmas Sweater Skate Night Dec. 20, 4–6PM
End the season in full festive mode. Throw on your most outrageous sweater and enjoy skating, music + holiday photo moments. Guests who bring donations for Toys for Tots or the City Walk Coat Drive get free skate rentals!

2. Decompress + catch up with friends

City Walk is packed with cozy corners, tables and open-air seating—perfect for a little wintertime reset. Grab a friend (or a coworker you’ve been meaning to catch up with), bring a book and a coffee and enjoy some quality time together.

For a fun festive moment, head to the Green Block and hang out by City Walk’s huge Christmas tree.

  • Anticipating some last-minute Christmas shopping? On December 20, City Walk is hosting a Holiday Market with more than 30 vendors (plus food trucks!) at the Roller Rink from noon to 5PM.

3. Treat your pup to a play date

Cold weather doesn’t stop dogs from bouncing off the walls, and The Barkery is the perfect solution. Bring your pup to run, jump, play and meet new furry friends while you enjoy the fresh air.

If you’re looking for an easy weekend outing or a quick after-work pick-me-up, this is a fan favorite.

Find The Barkery in the Pink Zone and make sure to read up on the dog park rules and FAQ before you go. The park is member-only, but day passes can be purchased to try it out.

4. Spread some holiday kindness

If you’re downtown for work or passing through on a weekend, City Walk makes giving back incredibly easy. Throughout December, you’ll find donation drop-off points for food, coats, blankets, pet supplies and more.

It’s a simple way to support our neighbors—just bring items by on your lunch break or when you’re out for a stroll. Check out the list of donation needs + drop-off locations.
