Surin West, Otey’s, Pizza Grace, Joyland and more earn 95+ food service scores in November

Several Jefferson County restaurants including Surin West, The Goose, Oteys, Joyland— and 41 more local restaurants—received 95 and above on their food service scores this past November.

Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100+ local establishments that handle and serve food. 

They include:

  • Restaurants
  • Schools
  • Nursing homes
  • Daycare centers
  • Hospitals
  • Grocery stores
  • Concession stands
