Here’s what it means for you.
Alabama Power keeps Birmingham bills predictable
According to Alabama Power, all components of its regulated retail rates are not scheduled to rise through 2027.
In a press release, Moses Feagrin, the company’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer said the goal is to give customers consistency during a time when everyday costs are on the rise.
“We know budgets are tight, and power bills are a real concern for many families and businesses. This commitment gives customers more predictability around electric rates.”
Moses Feagrin, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer + Treasurer, Alabama Power
As part of keeping rates flat, Alabama Power will hold all existing rate factors in place to delay previously approved adjustments for the Lindsey hill generation facility until 2028.
The company will also pick up the tab in 2027, so customers won’t get a surprise bill later.
