A new convenience store featuring four “food court-like” options is opening in Calera.

According to a Facebook post by the town the new Feel-Good Convenience store will open in January 2026 at the intersection of County Road 42 and Hwy 70.

The first two restaurants to open that month are:

  • Pita Mediterranean Street Food — Featuring Mediterranean favorites and smash burgers
  • Hot Bar (Meat & Three) — Serving delicious breakfast and lunch plates

In March or April, two popular quick service chains will join them:

  • Planet Smoothie — Refreshing smoothies perfect for any time of day
  • Wetzel’s Pretzels — Hot, fresh pretzels

Calera is growing

Calera is one of the fastest growing communities in the state of Alabama. This past spring it announced the city is welcoming three new hotels.

The town also has a very informative, entertaining and funny social media site.
