Birmingham’s Rocky’s Pizza collabs with Red Pearl on new dish

You know that here at Bham Now, we love writing about food and drinks, especially when our favorite local places collaborate!
The team at Rocky’s Pizza and Italian Foods in Five Points South puts a fun twist on their menu every once in a while, where they team up with another local restaurant to create a specialty pizza.
Collabs so far include:
- Milo’s Hamburgers
- Gus’s Hot Dogs
- Saw’s BBQ
- and now, Red Pearl Restaurant!
What’s on the Rocky’s x Red Pearl pizza?
I know what you’re thinking: “What exactly is on a Chinese-style pizza?” I had the same thought, but as soon as I tasted it, I thought, “How has no one else done this?”
“We approached Red Pearl because we thought we could make amazing pizza using Chinese food. They had a great attitude and came down to Rocky’s so we could test some ideas. Every pizza we made was amazing.
We narrowed it down to two for this month, but I have a feeling we will have some more ideas with red pearl coming in the near future. Stay tuned.”

The two pies the restaurants settled on were:
- Mongolian Beef
- Sesame Chicken
The collab between Rocky’s and Red Pearl is just as iconic as their other partnerships. Red Pearl has served delicious, authentic Chinese food to the Birmingham area for over 20 years—it makes sense that two Birmingham favorites teamed up for a fun spin on pizza.
