8 new + coming soon businesses in Birmingham

It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.
From a locally-beloved food truck with a new brick-and-mortar location to a handful of new additions to The Summit, here are eight businesses that should be on your radar.

1. Los Valedores | Homewood

Los Valedores’ brick and mortar is officially open on Green Springs Highway, right behind where their iconic truck called home for six years.
With its new-and-improved space, Los Valedores has expanded its menu, added seating (including a patio) and introduced a pick-up window for online orders.

2. Craft’s | Highway 280

Craft’s, the popular locally-owned chicken joint, has opened its third location.
If you’re a frequent Highway 280 traveler, Craft’s new restaurant is easy to spot: the old Wendy’s by the Hampton Inn, Finch Wines and Taziki’s. Much like its other two locations in Mountain Brook and UAB, Craft’s offers a wide variety of menu options including chicken sandwiches, wraps, Southern-inspired sides and more.

3. Vapor Thrift Store | Pelham

Vapor just opened a new thrift store with more than 16,000 square feet of space, offering plenty of room to browse and shop. Located in Pell City, the new store is Vapor’s fourth Birmingham Metro location.

4. Abercrombie & Fitch | The Summit

Heads up, Birmingham—Abercrombie & Fitch is back just in time for the holidays!
You’ll find the new Abercrombie & Fitch store right next to Chuy’s at The Summit. The brand, known for its modern take on casual essentials, once had a location at Riverchase Galleria which closed years ago.

5. Solidcore | The Summit

Back in September, we announced that a Solidcore Pilates studio was on its way to The Summit—and Birmingham fitness fans have been counting down the days ever since.
Now, the wait is officially over. Solidcore opened its doors today, November 24, bringing its famously-challenging Pilates-style workout to Alabama for the first time.

6. Collected for the Home | Irondale
A unique design hub has opened in Irondale! Collected for the Home, founded and curated by Deke Rogers, is a great place to find rare, authentic, vintage and antique pieces for your home. Their collection includes African art, European antiques, vintage treasures and much more.

- Hours: Wednesday–Saturday 10AM – 2PM | Open every other Sunday
7. Shaami Mediterranean Grill | Pelham
In the former home of Sarris Café on Pelham Parkway, a new eatery has opened its doors: Shaami Mediterranean Grill.
Shaami specializes in shawarma and kabob platters featuring your choice of beef, lamb or chicken with authentic sides like tabbouleh, baba ganoush and pita bread.

8. Hero Diner + Rodney Scott’s BBQ | Valley Post


Rodney Scott BBQ and Hero Diner are opening this week at Valley Post, the new dining and entertainment complex on Highway 280 in Chelsea.
Located in Shelby County near Chelsea, the much-anticipated 6-acre Valley Post development is a collaboration between Mike Mouron and Capstone Real Estate Development and The Pihakis Restaurant Group (PRG).
The new Rodney Scott BBQ opens on Tuesday, November 25, and the new Hero Diner opens soon after on Saturday, November 29.
