Good news! ALDOT reopened all lanes tonight in both directions on US-280 at Pumphouse Road near Whole Foods following the installation of three massive bridge girders.

The contractor had until 6:00AM Monday, November 17 to finish setting the girders and reopen all lanes but wrapped up more than twelve hours early, according to ALDOT.

All traffic on this section of 280 had been closed since 11:00PM on Friday.

ALDOT says there will be additional weekend road closures to complete the phased bridge construction in the future. For further information, visit ALDOT News Hub – Home.
