Here are four simple ways to give back this November—all in one place.

1. Support local animal rescues at The Barkery

Animal lovers, this one’s for you. The Barkery at City Walk is collecting supplies and donations to support Birmingham-area rescues caring for pets waiting on forever homes. From food and treats to blankets and beyond, every item helps a furry friend get one step closer to comfort and stability.
Hanging out with your pup at The Barkery park or grabbing lunch nearby? Bringing a donation along is an easy way to make your visit go further.
- Where: The Barkery at City Walk BHAM, Pink block
- Drop-off hours: Daily 11AM–7PM
- What to bring: Pet beds, leashes, toys, cleaning supplies + even monetary donations
2. Help families in need at City Walk Pickleball

Pickleball players (and spectators!), you can make a difference between volleys. The courts are collecting household necessities to support families across Birmingham this season.
Already planning a match? Bring along a few items for your neighbors—the perfect warm-up.

- Drop-off hours: Monday–Thursday 4PM–7PM
- What to bring: Pantry staples, hygiene items, blankets + more
3. Spread comfort + joy at the City Walk Roller Rink

From cozy goods to simple treats, the City Walk Roller Rink is gathering items that bring warmth and happiness to people across our community.
Whether you’re lacing up your skates or just stopping by, dropping off a donation here keeps the giving energy rolling all month long.

- Drop-off hours: Daily 3PM–8PM
- What to bring: Think little things that spark joy—coloring books, pens, crayons, toys + even gift cards
4. Keep Birmingham warm with the annual coat drive

Through December 15, City Walk is also serving as a hub for a community coat drive benefiting the Northside Birmingham Neighborhood Association. Donate new or gently-used coats of all sizes to help keep families warm this winter.
Cleaning out your closet? Running errands downtown? Swing through City Walk and drop your coat at any of these spots.
