This past week, 18 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Of these, 11 are for projects in the Birmingham metro.

In fact, four of them are for the same mixed-use development project in Hoover. Here’s more:

The Heights at Inverness

Four building permits were issued last week for a mixed-use project in Hoover called The Heights at Inverness. This $70 million development includes:

289 high-end apartments
16,000-18,000 square feet of retail space
Renovations to current office space
Walking trails and gathering areas

Stoa Construction is listed as the developer, and a time frame for the project has not been announced.
