Good Hands Transport goes statewide

Good Hands was established in June 2024 with a 50-mile service area within the city of Birmingham, but was granted a Passenger Authority through the Alabama Public Service Commission on July 1, 2025.

As of Wednesday, October 22, Good Hands has officially launched its expanded passenger transportation services to reach communities across the state.

According to a press release, the company carries two fleet vehicles and prides itself on safety, comfort and quality performance with each ride.

Founder Adrilyn Walker Smith is dedicated to providing safe and accessible rides for people who need non-emergency medical travel—like help getting to work or reliable transportation for everyday needs.

“This isn’t just a business for me—it’s a calling. Every ride is a promise of safety, dignity, and care. As we grow, we’ll keep that same commitment to excellence while making reliable transportation accessible to more people in our communities.”
