Popular pizza joint closes in downtown Birmingham

Pies & Pints has closed its downtown location on the Birmingham Green.

The popular beer and pizza joint, which was located at 125 20th Street South, closed its doors on Sunday evening. Information about the restaurant has been removed from its national website.

Pies & Pints opened in 2016

Known for its heirloom tomato pizzas and wide variety of beer offerings, the Ohio-based pizza chain opened its doors in Birmingham nine years ago in 2016.

Its departure leaves the state of Alabama with only one remaining Pies & Pint in Montgomery.
