A popular cigar & scotch bar is coming to downtown Birmingham! After roughly 15 years in Hoover, The Humidor Room is moving into the former Our Place Lounge at 2115 7th Avenue South.

The Humidor Room moving to downtown Birmingham

In 2010, Saeid Morshedi founded The Humidor Room Cigar & Scotch Bar as a friendly, welcoming environment where cigar enthusiasts could relax, catch up with friends and enjoy quality cigars and libations. Located at 5511 US-280 #101 in Greystone Park, The Humidor Room features a selection of fine Scotch and premium cigars from countries like Nicaragua, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

After 15 years in Hoover, Saeid has decided to move The Humidor Room from Hoover to downtown Birmingham.

The Humidor Room is moving to Southside at 2115 7th Avenue South, the space long occupied by LGBTQ+ bar Our Place Lounge. Our Place closed in early 2025.

Although The Humidor Room has not yet shared a planned opening date, signage is being installed on the new establishment.
