9 hay + corn mazes near Birmingham and beyond for fall family fun

With autumn comes all sorts of seasonal activities, and one of the most iconic is a corn maze. There are several corn and hay mazes scattered across the state, so folks from all over can join in on the fun.
Here are nine attractions that might leave you a little dizzy.
1. Sand Mountain Corn Maze + Pumpkin Patch — Boaz

This 14-acre maze promises fun for the whole family! They also have a large pumpkin patch, hayrides, games, gem mining and fall treats.

2. Griffin Farm Pumpkin Patch — West Blocton
Griffin Farms hosts events throughout the month of October, and the fun doesn’t stop at their corn maze. They are first and foremost a pumpkin patch, but they have food and craft vendors, face painting, pony rides, a mechanical bull and batting cages.

3. Turner Family Farms — Talladega
Turner Family Farms is the perfect place to make lasting memories with friends and family. There are plenty of photo ops! This Talladega farm has a Christmas Wonderland in addition to their annual pumpkin patch, so be on the lookout for Santa in December.

4. 4D Farm — Cullman
The corn maze is one of the main attractions of 4D Farm, but there is much, much more to discover at their fall festival throughout the season. From pig races to live music, this farm in Cullman can’t be beat.

5. Down on the Farm — Rainsville
Get lost in the corn maze, then take a plunge into their corn pit. This destination is perfect for little ones with their farm animals, learning loft, play areas and more.

Block out a day for this one, because there’s more to do after you solve their hay maze. Look forward to pony rides, feeding animals, pumpkins, gem mining and their picturesque sunflower field.

7. CornDodgers Farm — Headland
CornDodgers wants its visitors to “experience fall the old-fashioned way,” and they are ready to give you a country-style adventure. Their intricately designed, massive corn maze will leave you spinning.

8. Old Baker Farm — Harpersville
This historic farm was homesteaded over 200 years ago and withstood the Civil War, so it’s only natural they’d want you to see it for yourself. After you leave Old Baker Farm wanting more, you can look forward to their Christmas Tree Farm in November and December and their Summer Shindig in August.
