UAB Head Coach Trent Dilfer dismissed: Whatโ€™s next?

According to a UAB Athletics social media post, the University has dismissed Trent Dilfer as their head football coach. 

Offensive Coordinator Alex Mortensen has been named the interim head coach.

Dilfer compiled a 9-21 record after two and half seasons. Before Dilfer’s tenure, the Blazers had six straight winning seasons and five bowl appearances,

The Blazers next game is Homecoming at Protective Stadium against the 22nd ranked Memphis Tigers.
