While the frost is not quite on the pumpkin just yet, our thoughts—and plans—are turning toward the holiday season. It’s time to crank up your annual “Gilmore Girls” rewatch, pull your sweaters and festive gear out of storage and take advantage of all of the fun ways to maximize the cozy through the end of the year.

And wherever cozy season may lead you, follow through by setting the vibe with a cup (or martini glass!) of Morning Duck coffee. It’s locally-based and women-led, so you can feel good about all of your choices this fall and beyond.

1. October: Spice up pumpkin season

Whether you’re busy being a boss babe on the clock or a party girl after hours, you need to fuel all that fun. That’s where Morning Duck comes in.

Quality matters for coffee, so we love that their beans are Arabica beans from Colombia. Once you’ve got that good base brewed, here’s where some fall fun can come into play. Try:

  • For a walk among the changing leaves: Sprinkle in some pumpkin spice blend + a topper of cold foam.
  • For trick-or-treating Halloween night: Adults can have a little extra fun with a splash of salted caramel whisky.
  • For a lazy Sunday with your favorite novel: A dash of cinnamon makes everything nice + cozy.

2. November: Wake up Thanksgiving foods

If you’ve found yourself in a Thanksgiving rut, try waking up the table by adding some Morning Duck to your family’s go-to foods. We like to take the following creative spins on traditional fare:

  • A twist on turkey: Try a rub of Morning Duck coffee, herbs + spices.
  • Make gravy great: Recall the Southern classic, red-eye gravy, by adding some brewed Morning Duck to your turkey drippings.
  • Take the cake: Morning Duck can provide a rich depth of flavor to chocolate frosting or cake batter.

3. December: Brew memories that last

Give the holidays a boost

In addition to making a great version of an “espresso” martini, Morning Duck is also the perfect fit as a gift for anyone who gets it. We suggest pairing a bag of dark roasted whole beans with a grinder for coffee connoisseurs or medium roast ground coffee and a cute travel mug for your favorite coworker.

We love that Morning Duck offers two roasts, medium or dark, and that all of their coffee is 100% Colombian and 100% Arabica beans, so it really comes down to flavor preference. The cute, bright pink packaging doesn’t hurt, either, and we love supporting a Birmingham-based business in the process. Win-win.
