Local farmstead opens new retail location in Homewood

A family farm with an outpost grocer and gift shop in Pepper Place—Stone Hollow Farmstead—has opened a second Birmingham-area retail location in Homewood.

The new store is located in a shared space with Tracey Barrett Interiors in downtown Homewood at 2817 18th St South.

Family-owned farm in Harpersville

If you’ve never been to FarmStand’s outpost store at Pepper Place, here’s the scoop.

Located in Harpersville, Stone Hollow Farm was founded in 1999 by Deborah Stone and is currently run by Stone, her daughter Alexandra, and their families.

The farm produces a variety of goods that are sold at its Birmingham storefront, including:

  • Jams
  • Pickles
  • Infused vinegars + salts
  • Popcorn
  • Caramels
  • Goat cheeses
  • Fresh cut flowers

The new store, which goes by the name Stone Hollow Farmstead Of Earth & Home, will feature “heirloom goods, seasonal provisions and fresh blooms,” per an announcement post on Instagram.

It’s kicking off its grand opening on Thursday, October 9 and continue through the weekend. Expect a celebration featuring special guests, in-store experiences and a series of giveaways leading up to the event.
