Southwest Airlines is adding three daily nonstop flights at the Birmingham-Shuttleworth International Airport (BHM) in 2026.

According to BHM, the following nonstop flights will be added in April 2026:

  • Nashville—2nd daily nonstop flight added
  • Denver—2nd daily nonstop flight added
  • Orlando—3rd nonstop flight on weekdays

“When travelers choose to fly BHM, it matters in a big way. Southwest is showing a lot of confidence in Birmingham by adding these additional flights.

And it’s not just about expanding the nonstop service. A second nonstop flight each day to cities like Nashville and Denver gives travelers better connectivity to popular destinations on Southwest and gives them more choice with their schedule.”

Another BHM announcement

This is the second big announcement this month from Alabama’s largest and most popular airport.

In mid-September, BHM announced they are offering visual interpreting services and on-demand sign language interpreting to travelers as they make their way through the airport.
